Flight n' Bite is an indoor golf chipping game built around real backspin. A reusable patent pending magnetic spin pad goes on the wedge you already own, so your chips land, check up, and spin back on the included landing mat, which features a 9 whole, par 36 course. You can play it anywhere indoors, your garage, and even in low-wind outdoor spaces! 

The Original Backspin Chipping Game includes 12 Bite Balls (6 orange, 6 white), a 6'x4' landing green, a turf tee box, a cup and flag, a magnetic spin pad sheet (enough material for 4 total wedges), a how-to-play guide, and a personal note from the Founder, Chase.

You use your own wedge — no club comes in the box. A 60° lob wedge works best. Other lofted wedges (54°–58°) work too; you'll just need a little more room. The game comes with one spin pad sheet, which you cut out to fit to your clubface. There is enough spin pad material for about 4 wedges.

About 20 feet at a minimum with a 60° wedge: roughly 14 feet from your turf tee box to the front of the landing green, plus the green itself, which is 6 feet long. Less-lofted wedges (like a 50-56 degree wedge) need a bit more space. Living rooms, basements, hallways, garages, and offices all work great! The more space you have, the more spin you’ll get! 

No gimmick — it's physics.The patent-pending magnetic spin pad changes how the club face grips the lightweight Plastic “Bite Balls”. Hit it with the right attack angle and speed and the ball lands, checks, and pulls back. Hit it thin or flip your hands and it won't. That's the point: you see your ball striking feedback right away on every shot.

Fair question. Our Founder, Chase spent about three years building and testing this game, and a plain metal club face and a ping pong ball don't work for two reasons. First, they don't create enough spin to make the ball check up and spin back. Second, they send the ball on a high arc that will definitely hit your ceiling. By the nature of physics, the spin pad imparts a much lower shot height, because the energy of the impact goes into the spin, not the launch angle. That's what makes real backspin usable in an indoor setting. It's the reason the game works, and it's why the spin pad is patent-pending.

Almost. You set up the spin pad yourself so it fits your wedge exactly, whatever club you use and whether you're a righty or a lefty. Stick the spin pad and magnetic sheet together, trace your clubface, and cut along the lines. One sheet makes pads for about 4 wedges. Then roll out the green, set the cup, and start spinning it back.

Each round is 9 holes. Tee off from the turf tee box, land the ball on the green, and use backspin to pull it into the cup. Fewest strokes wins. You can also play speed rounds, closest-to-the-pin, or make up your own games. Like real golf, you’ve always got a chance to beat your course record! 

The Original comes with the 9-hole par 36 landing green set-up and works on any floor. The Carpet Course drops the landing green and plays directly on your carpet, with a 10” x 7” turf tee box, cup and flag, balls, and a spin pad sheet. Hard floors: get the Original. Carpeted floors and a budget? The Carpet Course is enough.

Yes to all three. Flight n’ Bite: The Original Backspin Chipping game includes its own landing mat, so it works on any flat floor . Outside gameplay works on a flat surface with little wind, think patios or by the pool — the Bite Balls are light, so the wind will move them a bit, something to consider before assuming outdoor play. The Carpet Course skips the mat and uses your carpet for grip, so if you’re looking at the carpet course, you’re going to need to use the carpet you have in your house.

Yes. Bite Balls are lightweight and made for indoor play, so a missed shot won't break a window or dent a wall. Bite Balls are Ping Pong Balls, so won’t harm thing in your house! (Although we do still recommend playing with caution and responsibility!)

It trains the things that create spin: clean contact, a consistent low point, and landing the ball on a spot. You get instant feedback — good strikes spin, bad ones don't. Chase Rollin, a golfer from Grand Rapids, Michigan, invented Flight n' Bite after getting sick of Michigan winters killing his short game. He spent about three years building and testing it in a series of small Grand Rapids apartments where he lived before launching.
